Facilitators for a Better Jamaica (FFBJ) is a not for profit registered think tank and lobbying group that specialises in being an effective voice with a mandate to speak up for Jamaica and Jamaicans’ interests in the United Kingdom and internationally.

FFBJ was created to address a clearly identified need for an independent voice for Jamaicans living abroad to speak on the political, social and economic issues affecting Jamaica and Jamaicans worldwide.

Through effective research and constructive dialogues with Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica, FFBJ has maintained key areas of focus to ensure a holistic approach in the way it acts on behalf of its target audience. These key areas include:

1.     Immigration: (1) Protection of Civil Liberties, (2) Illegal Immigrants – Amnesty and representation

2.     Plight of Jamaican Overseas Students:  Protection, guidance and mentoring

3.     Crime and criminality that affect Jamaicans at home and abroad; the war on terror and issues of terrorism

4.     Health : HIV/AIDS/Mental Health/Sickle Cell – affecting the Jamaican Community

5.     Jamaica Homeland Lobbying

6.     Promotion of economic advance through encouraging and influencing and supporting business development, self support and financial ownership
